The Partnership for a Drug-FreeNew Jersey is asking parents to rate the effectiveness of the Fifth Grade parent Alert that was sent home with students. Parents may participate by visiting www.drugfreenj.org/parentsurvey. The deadline is December 12, 2016. (One entry per household.) A randomly selected winner will receive an Apple iPad for their family.
The Upper Elementary School is home to all of Sayreville's 4th and 5th graders. Student classes are grouped in teams of two which switch between the major subject teachers for Language Arts - Literacy/Social Studies and Math/Science. Additionally, students attend Physical Education and "Specials" (Art, Music & Technology). World Language(SPANISH) is pushed into Math classes. Media Arts is taught by the School Media Arts Specialist in the Media Center where students borrow books and complete research.
